Four categories of advertising are accepted for the Queensland Law Reporter:
Public notices of proposed applications for a grant of probate or letters of administration
The Queensland Law Reporter is a publication approved under r 599(4) of the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 1999 (Qld) and Supreme Court Practice Direction 14 of 2017 for giving public notice of intent to apply for grant of probate or letters of administration.
Public notices of proposed applications for admission to the legal profession
The Queensland Law Reporter is a publication approved under rr 12 and 12A of the Supreme Court (Admission) Rules 2004 (Qld) and Supreme Court Practice Direction 7 of 2004 for giving public notice of intent to apply for admission to the legal profession.
Public notices of intended distribution of estates or to seek missing wills
The Queensland Law Reporter also publishes the following legal notices when necessary and appropriate: public notice of intent to distribute the assets of an estate; public notice to seek missing wills; and other public notices to give public information or seek information of a kind which is germane to legal practice.
The Queensland Law Reporter also publishes other advertising which the Secretary of the ICLRQ considers to be appropriate for publication, as well as advertisements for the sale or purchase of books or other products which are germane to legal practice.
